Growing up in Waverly, TN, I was the kid who always had music playing. I sang in the church choir, I sang in high school, and music was quite literally my lifeline, at one point when I nearly lost my life, music was the only thing I would respond to. It saved me.
Alongside the music, I would always building stories. I would look at something in the street and make up an entire story for it. Still, for a long time, I never thought photography, videography, or music production would be my actual path.
That changed in 2018. I was going through a really difficult time in my life and desperately needed an escape from the real world. I realized I had a story to tell, so I got the idea to make a documentary about my hometown—how we grew up versus how it is now. I shot a two-minute announcement trailer for the project entirely on my cell phone, and I composed the original music for it myself.
That full documentary never came to life, but it didn't matter. The seed had already been planted. I knew right then that this was exactly what I wanted to do.
Today, I run Faded Image Productions out of Cookeville, TN. When I’m not creating, my world revolves around spending quality time with my loved ones. Traveling with my wife, who is from Mexico, has definitely gotten me out of being a homebody and showed me the joy of exploring. Fun fact: I am a massive Potterhead, and we actually met when I dressed up as Harry Potter for Halloween! If we aren't traveling, you can probably find me on the basketball court with my daughter, who loves the game just as much as her dad.
I also have a deep passion for learning about new technology, whether it's testing out the latest cameras or flying drones. And, of course, I still always have music playing. Ultimately, being with my family is a constant reminder of how fast time moves, and why it's so important to hold onto the moments that matter before they pass by.
Telling a good story comes down to harmony. Picking up a camera showed me that the world is a continuous canvas; you don’t have to "create" beauty, you just have to be still enough to find it. The name Faded Image is a reminder that even when things feel fleeting or a moment seems "faded," there is always a story worth telling and a memory worth keeping.
I don’t view myself as just a creator for hire—I’m a collaborator. Whether your story calls for professional photography, cinematic video, custom music production, or all of the above, we'll build it together. I don't just show up to capture content; I show up to understand your vision and create something that lasts. So…
What’s your story?
